I always love to see artists post their work in stages, from thumbnails to polished rendering and everything in between. If anyone has something they're working on, please post it here.
So this sounds like a great idea! I love bouncing ideas around and I agree, WIP's are always fun to look at. So, that said, I'm working on finishing up my film. It's called "Tuesday" and I have a production site: http://www.soundslikeblue.com/daybyday.htm
It's in 3D and here's where you can see the unrendered version. The textures aren't finished, and I'm in the process of doing some editing as well...like the thread says, it's a work in progress.
Hey Adam - there's some funny stuff there but I'm not sure your storytelling is entirely clear.
I know this is not the stage to start changing things however...
Thats cute Adam! I like the little touches and nuances, like when Guy#2 tries to stop the soda can from crossing the line after the whole place gets trashed. And is that an urn on Guy#1's night stand?? Let me know when the final film is up!
Thanks you guys! Hopefully with some editing tweaks the story will be a bit more clear Elliot. Jo, I'm glad you like the subtle quirks and yes, that is an urn. I'll let everyone know when the film is finished and see how well it does in the festival circuit. I'll try to submit it to Fred, along with many others.
You could lose the first 40 seconds of the film without meddling with the story.
In fact that time should have been spent establishing that one was trying to sleep and the other was making noise.
Hey Joanna - I've got a couple of things on the go but I can't really show you anything because I'm not in charge of the job.
I can however reveal another little Boxhead and Roundhead cartoon I've just started.
I've been very busy on other projects and haven't had time to work on the film I wanted, so I started this little thing just to keep the characters in my head.
Stupid thing.
I've been sending that link out for a year now and only just now realised that you can only see it if you're logged in as me!!!!
How stupid!!!!
Anyway - you should be able to find them HERE.
Elliot, that's unfortunate, especially because you've got some good work there. I just watched "Safari" and I like the look and feel of the silhouette animation. Nice work.
I've got a story for a series I hope to create. I wrote an outline, got a couple scenes in my head, and have created time table for a minute and a half trailer. I just haven't had the time to sit down and draw it.
