This site is great. Id liek to see html in more areas, like in the title of your page (that text bar above your pic) and maybe something to do on the right column. The left column is so constrained width wise, leaving only the blogs and that one area in the center to do any cool effects to the page.
A featured animation area would be cool. An original animation that has the best ratings based on number of ratings and comments. And that video should get a top spot until something better comes along. Battle royal style section, as apposed to just the latest listing of videos.
The comments don't show up when I create a comment and hit the button. The button fades out and nothing happens but when I refresh the page my comment shows up. If the comment could show up when I hit the button I don't have to guess if the page loaded long enough for me to go to a different page.
Mailing list... Being able to send a message to all your friends at once.
Well, I'd kinda like it if there was a section for the Musicians interested in composing music for the animations, such as myself. I think it'd be a great way for animators and sound people to collaborate together on something for fun, as well as getting your name out there and some recognition...who knows? Maybe someone will like it so much that they wanna put on TV! :)
Ken, I'm just plowing through here today. If enough musicians come on I'll set up a separate section. Having started as a musician and record producer/engineer myself I'll be partial to this area.
Not necessarily as simple or direct as the animation/illustration/comic community that's sprouted up on Blogger and Flickr, but then again, it IS trying to be something more. Time will tell if it becomes as popular, I guess...
I'm not completely sure on how to respond to comments made on my page or blog.
I would suggest an area made solely for projects. Creating a forum topic for projects is a bit difficult because you'd have to post updates in the comments, which get cluttered fast and you'd have to sift through them to find content. Have a way to seperate content from the comments, then put a bar next to each project saying when it was last updated and how far along the project is, and let the person who created the topic update this bar so they can tell everyone else when they need something, like music or voice acting.
Sorry I've been like nonexistent for a while. College and work does that to ya...
Anyway, I'm now at the Ohio State University, and depending on where I go from there I may try continuing in animation in France or something. Who knows... A guest ...
