This weekend I took the initiative to take my relationship with my girlfriend, Sarah, to the next level and ask her to marry me. We're both huge classic Disney fans and we love cartoons so I decided the proposal should be fitting. I put together a simple little cartoon that pays homage to my 1920's animation heroes. I called the Disney Store at the shopping mall where her and I went on our first date 3 years ago and asked if they would let me play my cartoon and pop the question there. The District Manager said it was against corporate policy but the General Manager whispered into the phone, "Give me your number and I'll call you when she leaves." So I did; then I took my darling to the mall and we went shopping for a couple of hours, the whole time I held my mobile phone in my sweaty palm, waiting for it to ring. When it finally did I excused myself to take the call. Upon returning I told Sarah that a voice actress had to reschedule a recording session (which was true, though that wasn't what the phone call was about). It was time to make our way to the Disney Store, I could feel my heart rate rise with each step. I thought for sure Sarah could hear each beat, if not feel it as she held my hand. As we got close I said, "Wow, that Disney Store is nice, it's so classic!" To which she responded, "Do you want to go in?" We made our way to the back of the store, with it's big screen and the bin of stuffed characters. While she stared up at some video, perhaps a spot for the Aristocats DVD, I slipped away and handed off the DVD. The screen changed and she joked that perhaps the store's DVD was not set to loop or something. Then my cartoon began. As it was ridden with inside jokes and information she knew right away that I had arranged it to play. I was happy to hear the laughter of children throughout the store when the sight-gags hit. While she watched with her jaw dropped the final title appeared, "Darling Princess, may I have your hand in marriage?" When she turned to look at me I was on my knee with the ring in my hand.
She said yes and an old lady handed her a tissue for her joyful tears saying, "What perfect timing that we were here for this!" The manager was so great. As a congratulations gift she gave us an "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" wall hanging.
Sarah said everything was perfect, better than anything she could have imagined.
We're planning on going to Disney World for our Honeymoon.

I've uploaded the video so you all can see.
Sorry if most of the jokes don't make sense, I made it for Sarah, and she got'em. I hope you enjoyed our story!
