Channel Frederator RAW

I am looking for an animator to collaborate with for an animated pilot I plan on pitching to adult swim.

You must be willing to work on sick material such as stemcell fetus sidekicks...and people being set on fire, and other action packed gore.

I have a sequence written but needs to be animated. get at me if your interested.

Well you're on the right forum. Frederator has a lot of contacts.

The best part about Adult Swim is they are pretty easy to get stuff in front of and they usually won't snatch your idea (they may steal a joke or two depending on who sees it.) Other pitch avenues are not always legit. Be careful and read anything they make you sign.

My studio is jammed right now, so I can't really help you out. Although I'd love to hear your pitch. Best of luck!

how did you get the the chance to pitch to them? Is there a website you went too?

Same as any business; it's who you know. Years ago I briefly had a connection on the inside. They looked at two shows, one we created and another we just animated. We are currently trying to pitch them again. This time through an E.P. who has industry contacts. There was a website referenced in this thread at one point, but I'm not sure if it's legit or not. Good luck to ya!

I'd be very interested in working with you on this!

I've been using Anime Studio Pro- working on characters and movement mostly, but Ive been dying to get to work on something 'real'. Its hard to create a project alone- noone to toss your ideas off of.

What you're talking about seems right up my alley! I love the nasty! Heck, my band plays such songs as "I Sh@t the Bed", "Jonny Arse-seed", "My Dog, The Pen#s", and "Thin banana"- Nothing off limits here!

Hit me up and we can get started if you're still interested...

Hey, Yeah, I'd love to see an example of your work. I have an opening scene that I would want to see you do. The animated scene has a lot of things that would be in the show.. I'll send you a copy of the show opening and I guess you can just start working on that?

I know you posted this in September, but I am in almost the same boat as you. I want to pitch my idea to some place (most likely adult swim) and get a show.
As I was searching the internet to see how long the average pilot is, I came accross your post. Then I saw the hopefully uber helpful what adult swim is looking for reply.
I was wondering though what kind of progress you have made since you posted this?
ps
I don't know if this emails you or if I get emails if you reply

Good afternoon,

I am actually in the middle of animating two original pilot episodes of my own, and I will admit that it is a VERY time consuming process. The story is ONE thing, but then once you start the actual storyboarding and animation process... DAMN... there are times you go nuts.... BUT... it is fun and enjoyable despite all the headaches and craziness.

I am pretty interested in your request and would like to see what you have so far.

Please check out my work: http://www.myspace.com/koysportfolio

or my actual online portfolio: http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/AutobotMetro/

I can also be contacted via e-mail: golduk55@optonline.net

I look forward to discussing this project with you.

Just remember man - none of the stuff that has come to characterize [adult swim] was picked up just because of its shock value... alot of it seems random, but there is genius to it, and the masterminds behind it all have earnt their places. For example, Dave Willis and Matt Maiellarro (Aqua Teen) were doing Space Ghost before [adult swim] was around, Tim Heideker and Eric Wareheim (Tom Goes to the Mayor) have been doing stuff on the net for years, and Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer (Venture Brothers) were writing and drawing for The Tick before they even collaborated. Perhaps most importantly, the difference between all of those shows is crazy, but they each have one thing in common - they're off the wall, they're substance is completely original, they're premises are unheard of.

What I mean is, if you haven't already, do some research on [adult swim]s roots, that way you can dig them up and throw what you've got at them more potently. Good Luck.

I would love to help any way as possible myself. I'm an animator as well working on an animated series to pitch them. Adult Swim is definitely where I want to be. I wish you luck on you're project
