Channel Frederator RAW

I am looking for an animator to collaborate with for an animated pilot I plan on pitching to adult swim.

You must be willing to work on sick material such as stemcell fetus sidekicks...and people being set on fire, and other action packed gore.

I have a sequence written but needs to be animated. get at me if your interested.

I'm not applying, but I'm just wondering -- how do you pitch anything to Adult Swim?

I wonder the same thing. Do you even have to pitch to Adult Swim, or will they just accept anything that's edgy and can get their hands on?

I'd imagine you have to pitch anything to any network. but yes, the guys who did sealab 2021 had to pitch their idea, so I'd imagine that goes for any show.

A friend of a friend was a producer on Aqua Teen Hunger Force...I plan on pitching it to him and seeing if they can get something going. (a friend of a friend...ew that sounds so lame, but i can assure it's not as bad as it sounds)

Considering what's on Adult Swim, you don't have to be a very good animator to get a show on there. Or even funny (Tom Goes to the Mayor, Stroker and Hoop).

I can draw various production things like characters, storyboards, etc., but for animating you'll have to find somewhere with bit more experience.

tom goes to the mayor is an acquired taste. for as many people who hate the show, there are just as many who love it. i never heard of the other show.

I'm looking for an animator, i know how to draw storyboards and characters and all that jazz. I'm just looking for someone who has the patience to animate (well) and relatively quickly. I'm not talking "bang it out in an hour" here but at least as fast as how long it takes a south park episode to be created which is generally a week. Although I'm willing to give it a little longer if need be.

You have to consider that for Southpark they have their whole system extremely streamlined, and they're just animating digital paper cut-outs, plus some fancier stuff every now and then. Not to mention that they've got a whole staff, not just one person.

yeah i understand that. maybe i was just a little crazy hoping for someone that could do it in a weeks time. of course i'm willing to give any amount of time from a week to a month or two for a full on pilot. right now i'm only looking for the opening sequence of the show and the first scene animated. then we can see where can go from there. if you know anybody that animates...please direct them to this discussion. this is something i've been trying to get going for a while now and have now found this site where there are a bunch of animators...

and i'm only asking for 11 to 15 minutes of an animated episode each. standard adult swim episode length.

My only suggestion would be to take this opportunity to learn how to animate and do what you can by yourself. By doing that, when the time comes for you to pitch, you can maintain complete creative control even if you get a staff, and you'll be more versatile and desirable in the animation field.
