SPAM!

This one's primarily for the mod(s), assuming we have any. Can we do anything about the spam users popping up on RAW? Maybe sticky this thread to report spammers? If there is no designated mod for this, let me be the first to volunteer. 6/15 of the posts on the main page right now are spam and there are dozens of spambots on the site; it's beginning to hinder the actual content.

Anyway, here's a brief list of spammers from the front page:

Ive come across this as well. Although Im pretty new here myself, recently I cant help but notice the spammers. (In my case especially with subway girl *cringes*) Its become more than spam because that particular person feels that art theft is ok and has his/her gallery full of other artists work. I really do wish that we could be a stop to this. :(

Okay, the entire blog section is spam today and nobody really seems to care. I've been one of the oldest and most active members of this little disco, but until someone starts taking it seriously, I think disco is dead.

In its time, Channel Frederator RAW was the very best in animation community excellence. It wasn't too crowded, it wasn't overrun with amateurs who would post once and forget to return, it held the perfect blend of animator and enthusiast with actual participation from producers and other executives; Channel Frederator, for me, was a lot like going to a restaurant and chatting with buddies from work. It's unfortunate that it has been reduced to this. To my once favorite internet hang-out, I bid you adieu.

P.S. - For those of you interested, I am considering creating a forum to pick up the slack. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll see what I can do.

I have been one of those turned off by the recent spamming :( What's the point of visiting when I'm constantly being Spammed, and posts, blogs and forums remain stagnant for weeks....It's like walking into a big empty cave....I figured whatever mods we had would have taken care of the spammers by now >:( Subway-girl is my personal pet peeve...How do you find other artist's work and post it on a (once reputable) art community, and then have the nerve to pass it off as your own....grrrrrrrrrr.... It's time for a cleanup!!
