There seems to be an increase discussion regarding Flash vs Toonboom, espically since they released Animate. I'm just wonder your opinions on both or either programs. I've been using Flash but I think my traditional animation background would prefer Animate's workflow. I'm planning to make a switch so I've just downloaded the trial verison to see how it all goes.
I'll be keen to hear your feedback on after you have played with it. I've found the price pretty reasonable considering what it can do. I'm especially keen on the traditional timeline and export options.
A friend of mine teaches animation so he said he'll run through a demo high lighting the strengths and weaknesses of both programs. So that will be interesting but I'm leaning towards Toonboom for future projects anyway.
I'm still stuck on Digital Pro, it's everything I need. I have a student working in Animate at home and Digital Pro with me, so I'll see if I can get her to contribute. By the way, as someone who recognises you from the toonboom.com forums, welcome to RAW!
I am testing Toonboom Animate in the last week and testing the new features. In this link you will see a comparison between TB Studio, Animate an Digital Pro .
I used TB Studio for the last year and the results are satisfactory. The camera feature helped me when I had to decide between Toonboom or Flash.
