Okay so i obsess about this guy because his work basically changed my views entirely on puppetry and animation in general. i know it isn't exactly cartoons but to be honest i feel that the simplistic manner and quite surreal output is something that cartoonists should try to aim for.

I love Svankmajer. His films are beyond amazing. My favorite film by him, by far, has got to be Alice. So creepy, so terrifying, so serene, and so beautiful, and breathtaking. did i mention creepy?

I love his work, did you saw "Meat Love"?? Its a short film he made only with pieces of meat! ahaha.. excellent!

Svankmeyer rocks. I just watched the DVDs netflix has of his collected works. Have you seen The Coffin Factory? Very dark and bizarre. That one is awesome.
