Well.
I spent my early years in animation working for a company that was producing animated pilots for MTVs Asian market.
Then I ran away to the country and lived in Tasmania for 10 years, writing and directing television commercials.
I also did some animation.
Then after 10 years I sold my house, gave my dog to my parents and headed to London where I did some work in animated features and some commercial production.
Then I met this nice girl in New York City and seem to be spending more of my time there than in London.
Oh gosh.
This is like a dating site!
I love cartoons and drawing and art and music and food.
All the good things in life.
10 year in Tasmania has given me a love of nature and peace and quiet.

Thanks for the comment on my painting. Oh, and I liked the latest installment of Boxhead Roundhead, the one about war. These are coming out really nicely :)

Lovely.
You definitely have a point. Freelancing has taught me how to think on my feet so I should be able to find some small animation jobs to push me further, thanks for the advice! I very glad I happened upon this site.
Well I'm really trying to develop my style a bit more (aren't we always?) and I have always wanted to be an animator so my goal is to at least get some good solid footing in it. I can do some mediocre flash animation because I've done some work on websites, but cartoons are my passion. There's probably not a whole lot you can help with right away, because it obviously just takes a lot of practice, but I'm curious about how hard it would be to break into the industry and how good I need to be at it before I can get in. I've heard some places train you if you show some promise, but I don't know how far you have to go on your own first.
Well all of it really, I particularly like the expressions you create. Its somewhat reminiscent of older cartoons, especially Chuck Jones, but in a fresh and fluid sort of way. We newbies could learn quite a bit from you I'm sure. :)
