Jörn,
Just wanted you to know that the images you did with the photo compositing are amazing. I think it is something you should pursue much more strongly. I read your comments on that link. It seems perhaps you are reluctant to go down that route of combining photos and drawings. Which begs the question, what law is there that forbids you from doing so? None that I know of. Here's my take; if you find a hook that you can use to attract viewers to your work in a manner that strikes a cord and produces fantastic results, where's is the down side? Again, none I know of. I find it helps me to leave the cliched suffering art process behind if new tools and techniques can achieve a dynamic effect much more easily. Think of it this way, if you don't someone else will. Get on it now.
