As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a cartoon illustrator.
To me… illustrating cartoons was almost better than being an usher at the local theater and watching Star Wars 5 times a day.
Even before Yahoo offered the Aspiring Cartoon Illustrators group
…I knew I wanted to be a part of them.
They weren’t like fine art illustrators.
They drew things however they wanted.
They drew bugs with personality (oh no its the Raid)
Tigers that ate cereal (and thought it was GREAT!)
When they drew city skylines with lines that weren’t parallel…
…nobody ever complained about there perspective.
Drawing funny characters was where I knew I belonged.
I'm a lifelong resident of the Big Apple. Cartooning is my passion (my wife thinks it's an illness) so I draw. Currently I'm boring my kids with this obsession. And in a dramatic role reversal, I follow them around the house shouting "look what I drew! Look what I drew!".
