thanks for the compliment. my intricacies probably come from how OCD i am.if i had the means to animate, i would. but the problem is that i only have interest in doing it by hand. also, I think emery is so badass. just saying.
That actually sounds pretty cool. I think I can afford it too. Here's the zinger. What kind of firewire do I need? There's the rectangle and trapezoidal firewires. Also, does it need to be a firewire-to-dv? Is there such a thing? Or does it take a regular firewire-to-firewire?
The first one is for beginners. I highly recommend you subscribe to that podcast. The second link is a very very good site(my personal favorite), but the tutorials are more advanced and require some knowledge of expressions (programming). Don't worry though, expressions are very easy and if you subscribe to the creative cow podcast you'll eventually start to pick up on them. The second link also has many free download-able presets which will allow you to be faster and more efficient in the program. The third link has some wicked cool effects to teach you, but they often require third-party plug-ins that are very expensive. They're great tutorials, but I recommend you check that link out once you comfortable enough with the program to substitute techniques to compensate for the lack of those plug-ins. Many of their tutorials also require knowledge of some sort of 3D program, which I could help you with once you get back in town if you're interested. Lastly, if you like those links, I can provide some more later that would be more tailored to what you become interested in. Just tell me what you want to know more about. Also, shoot me any questions you may have about any of the tutorials. I feel fairly confident that I can help you out or at least point you in the right direction on most things. Hope this helps!
