Anticipation

One year later and no news? Oh well. Anyway, I took every picture I've ever drawn and thrown it into an animatic. Which will come out this weekend. Then it's on to a new project. One which hopefully will have ones and twos rather then fives and tens. Continue

It's cold.

After a week of near 80 degree days, it has dropped to freezing temperatures in Western Florida. The only difference now between here and the rest of the country is no snow.

Happy Halloween

Another month gone by and it's almost Christmas again. Now that I'm out of school life seems so surreal not having classes every day and, most of all, getting Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Nope, I'm a working man now, which means I work the whole month of January.

Anyway, the model sheet below took a lot longer to do than I though but was a lot of fun to see finished.I posted up the individual poses in photos so you can see them in better detail.

Animation is about being animated

No offense, but I don't care for today's cartoons, especially internet cartoons, adult swim, and south park. Don't get me wrong, I love watching these shows for their humor, but the problem I have with them is that they too, well, simple. It's just talking, walk, talking, gags, more talking. Not every show does this, but the shows on Adult Swim are the biggest perpetrators. My Muse

I can't explain why, but Samurai Jack is my muse. Ever feel like you have to get something off your chest to move on? That's what this post is.

Original Songs

I finally have my own personal internet service, so I can start uploading actual content and not have to live off the library's computers. So, starting tomorrow, I'll be able to upload drawings.

Right now I'm looking for a person or group to collaborate with on creating original songs using a variety of different genres, the end goal to create a soundtrack. I will be drawing images for each song and how they will fit into the end production.

Geisha geisha geisha geisha giesha...

When I get my toonboom equipment, I want to animate a geisha fan dance. Have them spinning around, flipping fans, and pretty much performing routines. I would draw one geisha, then animate her doing the dance, then copy it about four or five times, then put them all together into one animatic.

Webcomics I write for

I write for two web-comics and I hope to start up another drawn solely by myself. I believe that I should create something every day, whether it's a script for a comic, a page for a novel, or drawings.

The first comic I have complete control over because I hired the artist directly. My artist is from the Phillipines and works freelance, so I have a particular interest in promoting and seeing this comic go far since right now I'm paying for it out of my own wallet.
