Today was the day when my mum and I were for a traditional shopping spree, buying things for our beloved family members, including my sister who is coming here for the same reason as well (whether I should be thankful or puking that depends on her behavior and rationality). At first, the shopping complex was not even half the numbers occupying the building, which was good, considering this was also the day when the Malaysian Muslims celebrated something else (I assure you it's not Al-Fitr). So, buying whatever gifts was a real breeze until sometime around 12.30 p.m., numbers of shoppers increased dramatically in a swift gaze. What I couldn't believe here was the fact that most of them were teenage punks with weird, almost 'Metallica'-look outfits, which was a assurance that our shopping progress won't be smooth. My mum even commented that they were mostly immigrants from the Phillipines, though I couldn't differentiate between my perception and hers. But the final outcome was satisfying nevertheless. I'd bought classic DVD movies again (remember it's my nature to collect home videos!) as well as Neil Gaiman novels (I think I should start reading his books after viewing 'Stardust', which I admit was pretty imaginative, in a cinema some time ago) after hours of squeezing through 'the bodies around the battlefield' and yes, WE DESPERATELY NEEDED A BREATHER! I'm glad the horror was all over; despite the heavy rainfall within the main city, the sky seemed a little bit promising at the far end of the horizon where we came from.
So, I wish you best wishes this coming season (and no, no snow here, though I wish we had one) and looking forward to the new year (either it's gonna be fantastic or vice-versa)!
